OTHER ABNORMALITIES
Swelling of the vocal cord, cysts and polyps can all cause a change in the voice which can only be diagnosed by examining the larynx, usually by a small endoscope. Cancer of the laynx is uncommon and may cause a hoarse voice that does not get better; the voice can be affected when the growth is still small so the cure rate for treatment is very good.
