ALLERGIC RHINITIS
Rhinitis refers to an inflammatory response of the lining of the membrane of the nose. Nasal allergy is extremely common and effects up to 20% of the population with symptoms that include sneezing, a runny nose or a blocked nose.

NASAL BLOCKAGE/ CONGESTION
Nasal congestion, or a 'stuffy', 'blocked' nose are common symptoms associated with colds, allergies or sinus problems. It is caused by the membrane lining of the nose becoming inflamed and irritated causing and excess of mucus which can pass down the throat and cause catarrh.

The sinuses are a combination of large and small air pockets in the face. They are connected to the inside of the nose and help to optimise the temperature and humidity of the air reaching the lungs. The sinuses can become infected, commonly after colds.
